DevEnglish は、IT エンジニアやソフトウェア開発者向けの英語学習アプリです。スタンドアップ、設計レビュー、障害対応、セキュリティ議論、四半期レビューなどを題材に、読む・考える・話す・復習する流れを 1 つの Pack にまとめて学べます。
DevEnglish is an English learning app for software engineers and IT professionals. It turns stand-ups, design reviews, incidents, security discussions, launch readiness checks, and quarterly reviews into one consistent study pack for reading, speaking, and review.
教材は 1 つの具体的な場面に沿って進みます。前提、議論、判断、次のアクションが一貫しているため、読み物としても自然で、Roleplay や復習までつながった学習ができます。
Each pack stays anchored to one concrete workplace situation. Context, trade-offs, decisions, and next actions stay consistent, so the material reads like a real discussion and supports roleplay plus review.
Today では、技術トピックと定期イベントを見比べながら、その日の学習テーマを選べます。起動ごとに候補が偏りにくいよう調整されています。
The Today tab surfaces both technical topics and recurring workplace events, with topic rotation designed to avoid repetitive starts every time the app opens.
1つの Pack に教材本文、理解問題、Roleplay、フィードバックがまとまっています。内容を理解してから、自分の英語で返答する流れを崩しません。
Each pack includes material, comprehension questions, roleplay turns, and feedback so the learner reads first, checks understanding, and then replies in their own English.
Roleplay では英語音声入力が使え、端末の言語設定に関係なく英語として認識されます。入力後は Apple Intelligence によるレビューを受けられます。
Roleplay supports optional English voice input and reviews the learner’s actual text with Apple Intelligence for strengths, improvement points, and a revised example.
まず自分で答えを書いてから、必要に応じて模範回答を開く設計です。比較学習のしやすさと、先に考える学習姿勢の両方を維持します。
Model answers stay hidden until the learner has written their own reply, keeping active recall intact while still allowing direct comparison.
Pack の重要文は Review に保存され、Again / Hard / Good / Easy で復習間隔を調整できます。History と Progress で継続状況も追えます。
Important lines are saved as review chunks and scheduled again with Again, Hard, Good, and Easy so useful phrases come back over time.
学習データは端末に保存され、利用可能な環境では iCloud / CloudKit を通じて同じ Apple ID の iPhone / iPad 間で同期されます。開発者独自の同期サーバーは使いません。
Study data stays on the user’s device and can sync across the same Apple ID through iCloud / CloudKit when available. The app does not operate its own sync backend.

対応端末、OS、Apple Intelligence の有効化状態により利用可否が変わります。利用できない場合はアプリ内で案内を表示します。
Availability depends on a compatible device, supported OS version, and Apple Intelligence settings. The app shows in-app availability messages when these features cannot run.
音声入力はユーザーが開始した時だけ使われます。通知はオフのままでも利用できます。
Voice input is used only when the learner starts it. Notifications are optional.
生成した教材、Roleplay の自分の回答、理解問題の回答、Review 用の chunk、学習設定、進捗情報などを保存します。
The app stores generated study material, learner roleplay answers, comprehension answers, review chunks, preferences, and progress data.
同期は Apple の iCloud / CloudKit を使います。利用できない環境では端末内保存へフォールバックします。
Sync uses Apple’s iCloud / CloudKit. If CloudKit is unavailable, the app falls back to local-only storage.
iCloud / CloudKit、音声認識、Apple Intelligence を使う場面では、Apple のサービスやポリシーが関係します。
When iCloud / CloudKit, speech recognition, or Apple Intelligence are used, Apple-managed services and policies may apply.
通知や音声権限の変更、全データ削除、JSON 形式での書き出しをアプリ内から行えます。
Users can adjust permissions, delete all study data, and export study data as JSON from within the app.
